The Victory stamp is one of the most easily dated stamps in existence. This stamp was used for only a few years, post WW2, between 1946-1953.
Seen here is my rendition of a restoration. With the cleaned up (brush or polished) poll, refreshed 23 degree Flat-grind bevel on the blade, and a new hickory handle. It's ready to go back to work for another 50 years! This is hung on a WhiskeyRiverTrading 19c hickory handle and has an Amazouka wedge. I also stamped the bottom just for fun. The finished hang length is 18¼" and is 2lb 4.4oz overall.
