This no-name hewing pattern only has one bevel. Similar to a chisel. It is flat and sharp!
I carved out a 13¼" Osage Orange handle for it and laminated some dyed/stabilized curly Maple swells to it. The wedged is purple heart.
This was a great challenge with the shaping and sanding up to 800grit to bring out the caricature of the Maple and Osage woods. I couldn't be more pleased with it.
This hatchet is great for carving, small hewing work or camp.
